This policy covers the Pool Calc iPhone app and this website (poolcalcapp.com). It is published by YOUR COMPANY LLC (“we”). Effective 2026-10-26.
The app
What the app stores
The readings you enter, the chemicals you log, your pool settings, product shelf, targets and reminders. If you use the pro tools (Plus and Pro), also the clients you add or import (names, addresses, phone numbers, emails, access notes and service days), your service visits and their photos, and your business profile and logo. They are stored on your iPhone. Visit photos stay on the iPhone that took them and are not copied to iCloud.
iCloud backup
If iCloud is on for Pool Calc, the app saves a copy of that data to the private iCloud database of your Apple Account, using Apple’s CloudKit. Data in your private iCloud database belongs to you. We have no access to it, and it is not sent to any server of ours, because we don’t run one. You can turn iCloud off for the app in iOS Settings, and you can delete the backup in Settings → your name → iCloud → Manage Account Storage.
What we collect
Nothing. The app has no account or sign-up, no advertising, no analytics or tracking SDKs, and does not collect your location, contacts or any identifier. Its App Store privacy label is “Data Not Collected”.
Purchases
Plus and Pro purchases and subscriptions are handled by Apple through the App Store. Apple shares only aggregated, non-identifying sales reports with us. We never see your name, email or payment details. Manage or cancel a subscription in Settings → your name → Subscriptions.
Notifications
Reminders are local notifications scheduled on your iPhone. No push server is involved.
Exports
CSV and PDF exports, including service reports for your clients, are created on your iPhone and go only where you choose to share them.
This website
The site is a set of static pages. It does not use cookies and has no login.
We do not use analytics or any third-party tracking on this site.
The calculators run in your browser. The numbers you type are not sent anywhere. If you switch between US and metric units or pick a language, those choices are saved in your browser’s local storage so the next page remembers them; they never leave your device.
Like any website, the company that hosts it may keep short-lived technical logs (such as IP address and browser type) to deliver pages and protect against abuse. We don’t use those logs to identify anyone.
Links to the App Store include a campaign label (the page you came from) so we can see, in aggregate, which pages lead to downloads. Apple reports these only as totals.
Children
Pool Calc is not directed at children under 13, and we don’t knowingly collect information from anyone.
Changes
If this policy changes, we will update this page and its effective date. If the app ever starts to collect data, we will say so here and in the App Store privacy label before it does.
